DAM CONSTRUCTION IN KALAMOTI, CHIOS ISLAND Owner: Prefecture of Chios Budget: 18.000.000 Time of construction: 2008 Short Description: The dam ςασ constructed on a torrent known as "Katraris Rema", located N–NE of Kalamoti village in the island of Chios. This is a rockfilled dam with an impermeable central clay core. The dam crest level is at an altitude of 486 m and the dam dimensions are: 310 m in length and 10 m in width. Overflow collector, conduits for bypass, emptying and water collection together with buildings and electro-mechanical works for the operation of the dam were also construcetd.
